Dan Le Batard is Highly Entertaining

I’m a big fan of Dan Le Batard’s radio show. I think I heard the first show and was hooked on Dan’s fun look at sports and entertainment. It was the first sports talk show I heard add in other topics like movies and television shows. In short, it’s just fun to listen to.

I read a while back that Dan was getting a show on ESPN 2. Even though I’m a fan of the guy was a bit skeptical that another talk head show on ESPN was a good idea. They already have PTI, Around the Horn, Jim Rome, etc.

Fortunately though Dan has come through. His daily 30 minute show is, as expected, a fun look at sports. However the unexpected part of this show is his co-host, who doubles as his father. Papi is a riot and his chemistry with Dan makes the show work. There’s a simple formula to show: Dan asks questions. Sometimes to other people, sometimes to himself. Either way the only quesionable thing would be not watching it.

DLHQ is on weekdays at 4pm ET on ESPN 2.

PodCast Awards? Sure, why not?

It seems that time of the year is upon us! The time when I mention the PodCast Awards! This is just before the time when I realize I’ve not been nominated. Again.

However I will still pester you about nominating me. And now is that time!

Important info: You are allowed to vote for ‘The Radio Dan Show’ in only TWO categories: Peoples Choice and Movies / Film. Please ONLY nominate us for those two (cause it’s the rules! Plus we can focus our efforts if we all know what we are voting for). You can vote one time only!  So make it count.  Also be sure to use http://talkradiox.com as the website.

Click the link below and make my dreams come true.  At least my PG rated dreams, that is.

Check us out on Stitcher Radio

I love the Stitcher Radio app for smartphones. It’s like Pandora but for talk radio. So after much begging and pleading the fine folks at Stitcher have decided to add The Radio Dan Show to their long list of shows.

So now when you’re on the move you can access the show archives wherever you are! I recommend board meetings, seances, and funerals.
